Fused glass bowl
Fused glass bowl made from reclaimed storm windows. Approximate dimensions 5″ diameter x 2 1/2″ deep.
Window glass destined for the landfill is salvaged and cut into pieces. Pieces are stacked on a ceramic fiber blanket in a glass fusing kiln. The glass is slowly heated to 1400 degrees and it fuses and slumps to form a bowl. We never know exactly how each piece will turn out but we are always delighted by the organic forms created by this process.
It is recommended that the bowl is washed by hand.
